How to Clean Crystals at Home

There are several ways to clean crystals at home easily and effectively. Cleansing with salt water, the full moon, Sage or incense are just a few methods you can use.

What to do: Fill the bowl with sea salt and place your crystal inside it (ensuring that it’s completely covered) for 24 hours. Then, discard the salt (it has too much negativity to use again), wipe or gently rinse the crystal and continue to use as before (or set a new intention). You can also leave your crystal in a window or outside for 24 hours, where the sun and moon light will cleanse and charge it. [Source]

There are a few risks involved in this method. Do not place crystals outside if it is very cold or if there is a chance of frost or snow as this could damage them. Check the weather for storms, wind or rain, all could cause damage. In some places it may just not be safe to leave valuable crystals outside…

2. You can cover them with a glass bowl or seal them in jars to protect them from unexpected rain or wind.

How to Cleanse Crystals with Sage

One of the quickest and most popular ways that healers use to cleanse their stones and crystal wands is by using White Sage.

It is possible to buy smudge sticks ready made in a smudging stick, or you can use loose sage leaf.

It is easy to buy in most places, and the smudge sticks are made up of either white sage alone or mixed with lavender.

Some may have other fragrant herbs in them as well, and some of these may also have healing attributes that could benefit you.

Sage smoke is powerful to cleanse both your stones and the environment where they live.

You can do this one of two ways. You can hold the stones close to the stream of the smoke, or simply hold your smudge stick near to where they are sitting so the air around them is full of the sage essence. [Source]
